DMS User guide

The Datasheet Management System (DMS) is a web based form that performs a number of key functions:

·          tracks the completion of the network

·          tracks the completion of CRISP study recommendations

·          tracks the quality of network delivery

·          provides a level of assurance that we are completing schemes to LCDS standard

·          acts as a sign-off for Highway Authorities on their parts of the network

Once a scheme is completed the relevant CRISP datasheets need to be signed off in the Datasheet Management System (DMS). The DMS is a web based form where specific CRISP datasheets can be located and viewed in pdf format. Each datasheet has an online form attached to it that needs to be filled out by the Highway Authority Officer and signed off by the LCN+ Project Management team for the Borough programme and TfL’s Cycle Programme Team for TfL’s programme upon the completion of a scheme. The form records whether the CRISP recommendation has been met, whether the completed scheme conforms to the London Cycling Design Standards and also asks for details of the relevant funders. The information is then submitted for review. As a level of assurance the submitted information is accepted or rejected by the LCN+ PM team for the Boroughs or TfL (CPT) for TLRN. A rejected submission requires further review by the relevant highway authority.  Completed datasheets are recorded into the Network Completion System which helps map the progress and status of the network to date. It should be noted that incomplete datasheets can be accepted in the DMS if the works were, for example, unfeasible. Justification needs to be provided if this is the case and also a description of any alternative or mitigation measures adopted. Every CRISP datasheet has been mapped electronically into the Network Completion System and so this system directly defines how complete the network is.
