new users of the Mapping Service Web site. Including how to become
a registered user.
To get the most out of this site you can register
your details. You will then be able to customise how you see the
map etc. You will also be able to view a greater range of data sets.
Why we use registration
We would like you to register as a user of this site because
it allows you get more out of the data held in this web site and
it helps us to know who is using the site.
How do you register?
Simply Click on "register" button at the bottom of this
page and fill out the form that appears. We will then store the
details you submit in a database. Once your registration details
have been confirmed you will be able to login to the site immediately.
You will only be allocated minimum access rights at first. If you
feel you would benefit from greater access permissions please contact
the site administrator. Contact details can be found here.
How do you login?
Simply enter your user name and password into the fields provided
and click Login. Please note that all login attempts are recorded.
Your user name and password are case sensitive, i.e. 'FRED' is not
the same as 'fred'. Please keep your username and password safe
and do not disclose it to anyone.
What information do we hold about you?
We do not want to store more information about you than we need
and we will not release this information to anyone else. The registration
information we store is simply used to provide a better service
to you. Information such as map type and size are used to tailor
the interface to your needs. You are allocated an access level to
ensure that the data you see is appropriate. The e-mail and address
information will only be used to inform you of new features or data
available on this site. You can opt to never receive such information
if you so which.
